If protection from forged headers and phishing (and reducing spam to a
certain degree) is not worth the hassle, by all means don't go for it.

I was also told that Sender ID is not work the hassle. What are your
thoughts?

I agree the verbiage on that dialog box sounds a little confusing - the
purpose is to tell Exchange about all non-Exchange SMTP hosts that may
handle inbound internet mail before delivering it to the Exchange Org
(regardless of whether it gets delivered to a FE or a BE).

So there is no need to add the my entire network (all subnets) to this
list?
Only the machines that deliver mail from the internet?
What about the Front-Ends? Do I add them along with the anti-virus and
Spam
server?

You need to add all IP addresses of internal/trusted hosts that handle
inbound mail from the internet. Yes, this will include the anti-virus
and
spam server (assuming both are non-Exchange boxes).

For this setting under the Global Settings I am trying to figure out
what
ip
address to enter on my exchange 2003 environment.
Mail flow is like this:
Antivirus Server
Spam Server
Front-End Servers
Back-End Servers
Do I just need to ent the ip address for the front-ends or do I
start
with
the trend servers?
Also, we have multiple IP subnets for our internal network. Do we
add
them
all?
.
