You can use a different SMTP virtual server as a Bridgehead for SMTP Connector that routes outbound mail (address space *).
What are you trying to accomplish?

Hmm... that isn't what I suspected. In that case, is there any address space
in a connector that can be specified to route internal mail? I'd like to be
able to use the SMTP VS smart host to get external mail out and then have the
connector move the internal mail to the appropriate place. Probably not
possible but I figured I'd ask.

Connector (i.e. for that address space) the Connector's config overrides
that of the SMTP VS.
