I got it to work. Yes. You are correct. It was a typo error. I found a
link somewhere that someone said if your domain password security policy has
the default MINIMUM PASSWORD=0 DAYS, it won't work. I changed our Domain
Password Policy last night to a very strict policy, including the minimum
age. I deleted the IISADMPWD virtual directory, recreated it exactly as
Microsoft said and it works now.
I rated you well.
Thanks Lee!!!!

I notice in the URL you said was displayed in your IE address bar, that the.
VDir name is ISADMPWD (i.e. one I), but the VDir name should be IISADMPWD .
Was this just a typo when you posted your original message, or are the two
names really different?

Yes.

Have a look in IIS Manager/Web Service Extensions. Is Active Server
Pages
set to 'Allowed'?

Thanks for the quick response, Lee. Yes, I did the steps outlined in
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/297121:
To configure the IISADMPWD virtual directory, do the following: 1.
Click
Start, point to Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click
Internet Services Manager.
2. Right-click the default Web site, point to New, and then click
Virtual
Directory.
3. In the Virtual Directory Creation wizard, type IISADMPWD in the
Alias
box, and then click Next.
4. In the Directory box, type <hard
disk>:\winnt\system32\inetsrv\iisadmpwd
or the location where your hard disk is your default hard disk, and
then
click Next.
5. Verify that only the Read and Run script check boxes are selected,
such
as the ASP check box, click Next, and then click Finish.
6. Verify that the IISADMPWD virtual directory has only basic
authentication
set and, if you use Windows 2003/IIS 6.0, verify that the application
pool
is
set to ExchangeApplicationPool.

Have Win2K3 SP2/Exch2003 SP2 on the frontend and Win2K3 SP1/Exch2003
SP2
on
the backend. I tried to enable the CHANGE PASSWORD feature under
OPTIONS
when logged in to Outlook Web Access. I was able to successfully
show
the
button but when we click on it, it states a HTTP Error 404 - File or
directory not found. I looked at the URL it is referring to and is
https://[servername]isadmpwd/aexp2b.asp?https://[servername]/exchange/{username}/?Cmd=close.
I've searched high and low for others that have the same issues.
I've
tried
pretty much everything.
I installed Outlook Web Access Administration Tool.
All articles say that enabling the change password feature in OWA
should
enable https://[servername]isadmpwd/aexp2b.asp. Tried it even from
within
the firewall with the actual IP and
http://[serveripaddress]isadmpwd/aexp2b.asp and no luck. Have
restarted
IISADMIN, Exchange IS and entire server.
Could it be due to the fact the FE has Win2K3 SP2 and BE has Win2K3
SP1?
SSL is enabled...
Thanks in advance...
Have a look in IIS Manager. Do you have a Virtual Directory named
IISADMPWD
? If not, add one, and map it to
C:\Windows\System32\Inetsrv\IISADMPWD\
.
You will need to ensure that running asp scripting is enabled on the
VDir.
Lee.
