Hi Robert,
I rebooted the server and the issue did not show up again. I did see the
following infomational
Event Type: Information
Event Source: DCOM
Event Category: None
Event ID: 10026
Date: 5/17/2007
Time: 5:40:17 PM
User: N/A
Computer: HSMAIL
Description:
The COM sub system is suppressing duplicate event log entries for a duration
of 86400 seconds. The suppression timeout can be controlled by a REG_DWORD
value named SuppressDuplicateDuration under the following registry key:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Ole\EventLog.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
Also per your last email I checked my services all were set for automatic
except for
Network News Transfer Protocol Service (NNTP)
This was set for disabled but we do not use this function. Per my last
message the error was pointing to IIS being disabled and then set to
automatic.
I will keep an eye on this to see what happens or if it happens again.
I was wondering if by doing the exchange update could it cause the services
to change and then reset to install the update.
On the other side I am still getting the other error
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: IMAP4SVC
Event Category: Configuration
Event ID: 1057
Date: 5/22/2007
Time: 5:44:15 PM
User: N/A
Computer: HSMAIL
Description:
The server certificate for instance '1' has expired or is not yet valid.

I looked at this and found that there is a certificate but I cannot view it
so I am not sure if this is the one that the error is pointing to. I have
installed a SSL cert for IIS for OWA but I can view that Cert and it is
current and up to date (2010).
How do I find what cert this error is talking about and view it to make sure
it's the right Cert that I have to renew? Also I do not remember installing
any other cert beside the OWA cert so is this cert from the system and
pregenerated by 2003?
thanks

Hi Adam,
Thanks for updating.
If your Help and Support service is disabled when install MS04-015, event
id 10005 will appear.
According to your previous reply, I know that you installed update
MS07-026, since the Help and Support service to Automatic, the error is
not
caused by this.
Please check the following service is started:
o World Wide Web Publishing Service
o Simple Mail Transport Protocol (SMTP)
o Network News Transfer Protocol Service (NNTP)
For more information, please refer to:
Exchange Setup Fails with Error 0x80070422
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;295623
Also, the problem occurs when IIS is being called by some application. If
after reboot, the event will not reoccur, you can safely ignore it.
I am looking forward to hear from you.
If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Best Regards,
Robert Li(MSFT)
