I already have a certificate from verisign that is assigned to the default web site on the Excahnge 2007 server and this works fine, however it is only for the internet domain name of the exchange server. Outlook 2007 gets to the server using its internal FQDN and users are prompted with a message stating that the cert name does not match. If they click yes everything is fine.
How can I assign mutiple host names to a certificate that I already own, that I got from a third party provider.
On your internal DNS server create a new forward lookup zone called domain.com where domain is your internet domain, then in side the new zone create an A record for mail.domain.com where mail.domain.com is the hostname on the certificate, assign that A record the internal IP address of your webserver.
