Hi Everyone,

I have an Exchange 2003 server that is currently not sending emails
that are directed at certain Universal email distribution groups. The
messages get stuck in the queue in ESM, in the Deleted Objects
folder. The message in there states that it is "Unable to bind to the
destination server in DNS" even though this email is only being sent
internally. I have message tracking turned on and found that the
message gets categorized and queued for remote delivery. I checked
the SMTP virtual server to see if the problem was external dns
settings, but there was none. This server was recently upgraded with
no issue, but since I restarted the server last week, I'm receiving a
lot more undelivered messages.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Vu

Hi Bharat,

Yes, this is a single-domain environment. As for the "expansion on a
particular server" I do not understand. The Universal DG are
populated by a global group with it's mailbox hidden in the GAL. I do
not know why this particular group is not working correctly when other
groups setup exactly the same way are. I have already tried deleting
the group and recreating with a different name but no success. Should
I try deleting the embedded global group and try creating it?

Thanks
Vu

Well, I've tried deleting the universal DG that has been consistent
throughout this problem and I am still getting messages placed in the
queue in ESM. I am sending messages within my own domain and not to
anyone externally and yet this issue is still happening. Anyone have
any suggestions?

Vu
