Hi,
Does anyone have any suggestion how to do the following task:
I want to "move" public folders store from one storage group to another.
Why: I would like to remove the old storage group from the server. All
mailboxes have been already moved to the new storage group and now is the
time to move public folders store to this new storage group. The I would
remove this old storage group.
Exchange 2003 SP2, there are more servers in the org, only one public
folders tree. No public folder is homed on this server, the only folders I
think I need to care are Free/busy and offline AB replica which is quite
large and I need to take replication time into account
The solution I am thinking of is:
1. Change public folder associations on mailbox stores to the other (nearest
possible) server.
2. Remove public folders store
3. Create the new one within this new storage group and associate with the
same PF tree
4. Wait untill replication is done
5. Step 1 but association to the local server
Thank you in advance for any suggestions
regards
rumich
.
