Re: 50Gigs of logs

what kind of backup did you run? online, full? that will clear the
transaction log files...do not enable circular logging if email data is
important to your users...

I have a MS Exchange 2003 Standard SP2 running on WIN2k SP4 server
and recently I noticed that are about 50gigs of logs in the
MDBDATA folder, I did some research and found that doing a full
back up by using ntbackup.exe would clear the logs. I tried that
and the logs are still there and I know you can't just delete them.
I also found circular logging but a lot of people are against that
is there a reason not to enbale circular logging so that you don't
run out of space? Any advice / help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!!!
