Re: Redirect https to http Exchange 2007

You still have SSL required on OWA, though?

KICK ASS that worked i took off SSL on the default website and WAM!

Thanks again

It sounds like you have required SSL on your entire Default Web Site,
instead of just the OWA Virtual Directory. The two articles (one for
redirecting Default Web Site to Exchange, and one for redirecting OWA
http
to https) do not work in that situation. Do you need SSL on your entire
DWS?

Yes i am trying to get to https://webmail.mydomainname.com/OWA If i
type
https://webmail.mydomainname.com it works i get /OWA but if i type
http://webmail.mydomainname.com i cant get in

What address are you typing in to get to OWA? http://servername/owa ?
The
article as described needs some slight modification for E2007 (even
though
the principle is the same), but I don't know if you knew that already.
The
article also doesn't work with a redirection from the Default Web Site
to
OWA (which is what I think you may have also tried to do) without some
other
modification.

it says i must use https

Type https:// at the beginning of the address you are attempting to
reach
and press ENTER.

Hello

I am following http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555053 I can
redirect
the
/OWA vdir but the redirect to SSL isnt working, any ideas. I got
this
working
on Exchnage 2003 but cant get it working for 2007.

Thanks

It's a simple HTTP redirect, so it should work, regardless of the
Exchange
version. What happens, if anything, when you try it?

Lee.
