It sounds like you have required SSL on your entire Default Web Site,
instead of just the OWA Virtual Directory. The two articles (one for
redirecting Default Web Site to Exchange, and one for redirecting OWA http
to https) do not work in that situation. Do you need SSL on your entire
DWS?

It's a simple HTTP redirect, so it should work, regardless of the
Exchange
version. What happens, if anything, when you try it?
