Re: Help - store wont mount!

after unistalling the updates I rebooted and exchange is working again.

but I still see errors from the GFI software.
could GFI be causing this, or is it just one of the updates caused the
problem?

or maybe GFI and the updates dont play well together?

here are the GFI errors (forgive me if I give you too much information):

yeah, they are running GFI on another server, but it pushes a client out.
Or so I was told. Its supposed to watch us administrators to make sure
we arent reading peoples email, or something like that so I dont know a
lot about it. but if it is there, should have been there for at least a
week I have been told.

I had downloaded updates for exchange and .net and was going to reboot
exchange this evening, when I rebooted the server after the store
dismounted and wouldnt mount they were applied. going to try to remove
them and see what happens. Dont see GFI listed anywhere in add/remove
programs.

the udpates I applied were:
kb917283
kb924334
kb926666
kb927977
kb917283
kb917537

Is that GFI? Could be the smoking gun.

email dropped - store will not mount (exchange 2003 on windows 2003
server)
here are the different errors messages I see:

The Exchange store 'First Storage Group\Mailbox Store ( is limited to
18
GB. The current physical size of this database (the .edb file and the
.stm
file) is 12 GB. If the physical size of this database minus its logical
free space exceeds the limit of 18 GB, the database will be dismounted
on
a regular basis.
