Sure.

1) Fire up ADSIEdit.msc (need to have Windows server Support Tools
installed) and navigate to CN=Configuration -> CN=Services -> CN=Microsoft
Exchange -> CN=Your OrgName -> CN=Administrative Groups -> CN=Your
AdminGroup Name -> CN=Servers ->CN=your ServerName -> CN=Information
Store -> CN=YourStorageGroup -> CN=YourStore. Go to properties and get the
distinguishedName.

Looks like all the above steps in reverse order - e.g.
CN=Mail14Resources, CN=YourStorageGroupName, CN=Information Store,
CN=PBMail14,CN=Servers,CN=YourAdminGroup.........

2) Or you can download the following script and get a list of all your
Stores and their related info (distinguishedName, legacyExchangeDN, GUID,
etc.)

3) From command prompt, type: csvde -f filename.txt -d
"CN=Configuration,DC=yourdomain,DC=com" -r
"(objectClass=msExchPrivateMDB)" -l name

*DC=yourdomain,DC=com is to be replaced with your domain name and extension
(com/net/edu etc.)

I'd like to use your first suggestion.
The store is on Server: PBMail14, Store: Mail14Resources
How would I get the DN of the store? Could you give me an example of the
value?

Alternatively, you can use the same AD attribute(s) that you used to make
them show up in your resource Address List, but with a NOT operator. As

We have a fairly large exchange organization. 14 Exchange 2003
servers,
30000 mailboxes. All centralized.

I created a info store specifically for resources. Conference Rooms,
Projectors, Laptops, etc... We are expecting to create several hundred
resources for people to schedule.

I really don't want them showing up in the GAL. It'll create some
confusion
and not be very user friendly. I created new address lists that filter
based
on an AD attribute. (I use company: could be- admin, middle, el,
high,
other) (yes we are a school district)

My vision is that when someone wants to schedule a conference room,
they
open the address book and change the list to the appropriate resource
list
then find the room.

How can I hide the resources from the default GAL but allow the other
lists
to see them?
