The archive folder seems to show the odd email now but only if its not a
recipient in our organisation but same domain name. Dont know if its IMF or
just a default location to put undeliverable emails. I still cant see any
counters. Can someone please tell me the ini file that needs registering for
IMF just to eliminate this possible scenario .

Thanks Alexander,.
None of those instances apply to me. We have only one virtual server and imf
is enabled. We never had imfv1/dont have pop3 boxes/dont use connection
filtering IP accept list/
The only options I have selected are IMF(currently SCE of 1)/sender
filtering with our domain listed with all three options ticked.
We have trend neate suite with virus wall/scanmail for exchange/client
server messaging suite. Could this somehow be stopping the emails from
passing through the exchange filters.

The fact that the performance counters are not showing indicates that IMF
did not process any emails.
How many SMTP virtual servers do you have? If you have more than one try
enabling IMF on each of them.
The following is a list of cases when IMF would not process emails. check if
any of these apply to your case:

I have installed Exchange SP2 on a server 2003 environment with the new IMF
filter. I didnt have IMF v1 previous. I have been able to enable IMF under
the appropriate tabs and also setup registry entries for updates etc. My
problem is that IMF catches no spam (scl set at 1). I have it set to
archive
messages. I also cannot see any IMF performance objects which should be
the
case.
Has anyone heard of or know what could be causing this problem. We have
trend Micro virus wall which catches the majority of spam but still 60-80
are
getting through to the 10 or so users every day.
Many Thanks
Geoff
