How simple is this? Did you remove IMF v1 before applying SP2 and IMF v2?
Did you enable the IMF Filter in ESM? Also you do not tweak the registry to
increase the mailbox size. You tweak the registry so that you can get IMF
updates via WSUS.
In order to enable IMF, you need to checkmark Apply Intelligent Message
Filter under the Property page of the Default SMTP Virtual Server (more
specifically under the General tab > Advanced > Edit) in the System
Manager

Hi a client of ours is presently utilizing a SBS 2k3 server with the
Exchange
Server that comes with SBS
Exchange Server was intially set at Service pack 1 and had the registry
tweak performed for IMF updating After service pack 2 came out we
installed
the service pack and also performed the registry tweak to increase the
mailbox size. Recently client has stated that he seemed to be recieving
lots
of spam email and i to verify the scl rating for junk email and gateway
the
junk email scl rating was set to 6 and the gateway to 7.
After reading serveral post regarding the IMF i looked at the
\Exchsrvr\bin\MSCFV2 dir and saw that the last update was august 2005
obviously this i thought has to be wrong as well looking at other post
but
their isnt always a listing in the add/remove programs section.
Would it be ok to rerun the Service pack 2 and then verify the correct
settings that should be input. Perform and verify that the registry tweak
for
IMF is not their as it is no longer required in SP2 and verify that the
mailbox size limit has been increased from the registry tweak
I look forward to someone replying with a simple answer
.
