im am trying to get remote installation services working, i believe i
have followed all instaructions to the letter however whenever i pxe
boot the client computer it just times out on the dhcp request, has
anyone ~ANY help at all they can offer?
I have a closed loop, test network.
ADS DC running dhcp and dns
and 2 other machines
1 running RIS and the other im trying to boot using pxe->ris
all are running 2003EE
The RIS check appears fine on the RIS server and dhcp is working for
the test machine, the RIS server is static.
When the pxe boot is initiated the computer times out on the dhcp
request. I am in the process of mirroring the port on the switch to
analyse the traffic but in the interim is there anything anyone can
think of that i may be doing wrong or not doing at all
thanks
Ronan
Hi - wrong group? This is for Exchange Server issues. Try a Windows server
group.
