Check:
Client submission SMTP VS in ESM:
1. Basic with TLS/SSL enabled
2. Anonymous is disabled
3. Port 25 for TLS, Port 587 for SSL (they are not the same for SMTP....)
4. Sender Filter, Recipient Filter, Connection Filter, Sender ID Filter are
unchecked
5. "Allow all computers which successfully authenticate to relay, regardless
of the list above" Unchecked
6. Both Users has same permission in the "Permissions for submit and Relay"
dialog box
Outlook Express:
1. Correct username and password are entered (for some reason, you may or
may not need to use email/UPN as the user name)
2. "My server requires authentication" is checked under "Outgoing Mail
Server

Help!able
Setup POP3/SMTP connectivity on this FE 2003 server, plus only allowing
authentication and SSL for these users.
Tried to setup a test user using Outlook Express, and the test user was
to sucessfully recieve and send emails.recieve
Setup a second user, with same privileges, and this user is able to
(POP3) emails, but not able to send emails?!just
Get a 454 error, but this user should be able to send if authenticated,
as well as the first test user... !?
What could cause this kind of problem?
