Re: POP3 good but STMP not

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Emails could be send from outside customer site to my SBS2003 SP1/Echange 2003
sp2 customer server.

Today I have problems in sending emails to the domain name accounts (SMTP
configured) but I do
not have problem in sending emails to POP3 accounts.

If I send to xxx@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, I receive this message on my control
center oulook which is outside the customer site: recipient could not
received the message.

kairosnutricion.com is the domain name for the Exchange on this server.

If I send to alterjf@xxxxxxxxx or soportekairos@xxxxxxxxx or
altercompras@xxxxxxxxx which are emails address programmed as POP3 address
on this server, those are received by the users who can confirm all these
emails
making foward.

Also, I can send mesages inside customer site LAN to those SMTP addresses
without any problem. I can send messages using OWA to SMTP addrresses as well.

So I think that Exchange database do not have problems.
Domain name accounts were operating before.

Probably I have to change any configuration I do not know after the Public
IP for this customer changed. I ran CEICW to take the new IP but I do not
know if any additional configuration must be made.

Before, I could send emails to xxx@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx because I programmed
the MX records on the ISP.

Can you restate what the problem is?

Hello Rich,

I have been working with the OWA and the last problem was resolved.
Now I can send, receive, foward mesages inside OWA to the SMTP addresses
xxx@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx without any problem.

The only thing I have not found is the solution to the problem when I send
messages from outside the company to users in this domain ecxhange server.

Thanks
