Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

- Test name resolution from Exchange server to internet domains
- Test smtp connectivity to internet (smtp) hosts
- Check event logs - is anything loggged?

Good day -I'm running Exchange 2003 SP2 and I recently changed the
external
DNS servers in the SMTP protocol properties, (System Manager> Admin Group
>
First Admin Group > Servers > Default SMTP Virtual Server > Properties >
Delivery > Advacnced) and now all outbound mail is stalled. The queue is
full of "Retry" for all external domains.

Inbound mail is fine. I failed to record the existing external DNS
servers
because I didn't think it was necessary. The external DNS servers I
entered
are from my ISP where the MX/A/PTR records exist.

Can you assist? Much appreciated.
