I get a call from my client this afternoon saying his Exchange server is
down. After much research it becomes apparent that the e00.log is just
missing. At the time it went missing, is the exact same time on a E00.chk
found in the same directory, 2:26 PM. The last log file is timed 8 minutes
before the E00.chk at 2:18 PM.
There are several options out there, none of which directly address an
entirely missing E00.log file. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I
should do to recover this file? My most recent back was yesterday afternoon.
I'm not sure I have to go that route yet. Thanks.
Besides being eaten by A-V software, a hardware error on the disk may
have caused that. I'd be looking at the A-V stuff. Check the A-V's
quarantine, maybe you'll find it there.
