The display name should be sent along with the e-mail address, so users
should see that.

Here is what I'm trying to do:
We have a group of contractors that work onsite and we want to be able to
make it clear when they send email internally or externally that they have
'contractor" status.
In other words, when John Brown (an employee) sends an email, external
recipients see "john.brown@xxxxxxxxxx" and internal recipients see "John
Brown".
When Jack Smith (a contractor) sends an email, recipients should be able
to
tell somehow that he is a contractor. Something like jack.smith@xxxxxxxxxx
(contractor) or Jack Smith (contractor).
I think i can change the display name field for these 24 users and effect
this change WITHIN our Exchange environment, but I can't think of how to
do
it so that EXTERNAL recipients get the same information.
Is there a way to do this?
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Dave
