No we are a OEM Manufacturer of Heat Exchangers (domain is smithco-eng.com)
no SPAM etc we also have our Exchange Servers locked down to prevent bulk
email from being relayed etc.
I did a lookup to see if we were listed on any database for SPAM through
www.dnsstuff.com and we were not listed.
Is there anyway to contact Yahoo and see if we are indeed grey listed and
see about resolution if we are?

'451 Message temporarily deferred'
Sounds like yahoo is greylisting you. Do you send bulk email?

I can not telnet to mx1.mail.yahoo.com port 25 from my outside email
server
I get the message '451 Message temporarily deferred - 4.16.50'
Then the connection drops.
I can send to my yahoo account from my hotmail account or my Atlas (high
speed ISP at the house) account.
I realize that my office domain can not send to a yahoo account but why?
Thanks for the help!

Yes, that server will probably require AUTH.
But your mail server should not be sending to that server.
If you go to dsnstuff.com and do a DNS lookup for yahoo.com of the type
MX
(for Mail eXchange) then you will get a list of the servers that accept
mail for the yahoo.com domain.....
Try telnetting into one of those and sending to your yahoo address from
an
external address.

From your SMTP box, can you telnet into a yahoo smtp server, and send
mail?

This started happening about 2 weeks ago, I am unable to send email
to
a Yahoo address (tried 3 different ones) my Exchange Server 2003
sends
a Delayed Notification to the originator, the message disappears out
of
the Que but is not delivered.
I checked dnsstuff.com and made sure we are not on a Spam Database
by
mistake (we are not)
Made sure reverse DNS is correct etc
Ideas/thoughts?
Thanks in advance
