Creating new Mailbox -- error

Hi
I've recently installed a copy of Exch server Enterprise 2003 on a win2003
box.
Here's what I did from scratch:
1) Installed Windows 2003 Standard edition, ran DC promo.
2) Installed all necessary features as required by Exchange installation,
such as NNTP, etc.
3) Ran Forest/domain prep (in preparation for the Exchange installation)
After all Exchange install was completed, I did a test by creating a user on
the new DC. I right-clicked on the new account, selected "Exhange Task".
Only thing I see is the "Remove Exhange Attribute" screen.
At one point I went through by removing the Attribute, but I keep seeing this
message each time trying to create a new maibox.
Would someone please shed some light on this? I must have missed something.
