Sorry for the late reply. The messages were coming from external
recipient addresses, from multiple domains, which led me to believe it
was a problem on my end.

Well, it turned out to be a problem on my end; the user, after YEARS of
doing this correctly, somehow started trying to send as a DL with the
same name!!! I figured this out after watching her reproduce the
issue. GAWD!!!

So, mystery solved.

Also, lesson learned again: when tshooting an issue, always start by
observing the user/action, if possible.
