Re: Invalid message recipients - POP3 - using phone

Have you configured your SMTP virtual server to allow authenticated users to
relay? Does this phone's SMTP properties allow the user authenticate his
SMTP session?

Ed,

Thanks for the reply.
I don't have any other options with this phone but POP3. OWA works however
the screen is very difficult to work with when its only 2 inches.
So what can I do to get the POP3 to work with the phone as far as being
able
to send messages to any outside sources

Thanks
Dale

Quit using POP3. It's really a very limited protocol. Use MAPI. If
your
users are off-site, use MAPI with RPC over HTTPS or a via VPN, or use
OWA.

When a user accesses the exchange server using a phone set up with
outlook
POP3 they can recieve messages fine and as long as a recipient is in AD
they
can send to that email. However, when they try to respond or send a new
email
to a recipient outside of this domain I get the Invalid message
recipients
System Administrator message. What can I do to eliminate this so that a
user
can send and receive email on there phones normally.
I do have the option checked in the setup of the phones that the server
requires authentication, before I did that they couldn't send anything,
even
internal.

Thanks for any suggestions

Dale
