Sorry if I am being stupid but if tomorrow morning I get a message that says
3000 mb of white space is available t would that mean if I did an offline
defrag that day 3G of space would be reclaimed? So whatever I see that
morning after online defrag has run is what is currently available at the
moment?
Thanks

Hi,
It is the total size of the available space inside the database.

When I check 1221 in the event viewer I get approx 2000 mb each night.
When it gives me that total for the private information store is that the
total that was claimed for that day or is it a cumulative total. If it
is for that day do I need to go back and add up all the totals for an
approximation of white space in my db ex2k3?
.
