Re: 2nd email domain for all users

Not sure what you mean by ISP-type setup... can you allow users POP3 access
to Exchange mail like ISPs do? Yes.

Yes, you also need to route mail for the new domain to your Exchange
server - point the MX record in the external DNS zone of the new domain to
your Exchange server.

Can I do this through an ISP type setup? If so, do I just set the ISP
email/pw as the user's name and password?

Do I need to route all email via mx record to our exchange server?

Create a new Recipient Policy to add the new domain, use a filter that
picks
up those 6 users.
You can have them retrieve their email using POP/IMAP4/OWA (HTTP).

I'm running SBS 2003 / Exch 2003 - works well. Our company is going
through
some changes, one of which will require some of the users to have a
second
email address with a different domain - call it pop.com. In addtion to
this,
the email accounts at pop.com are currently controlled outside the
company
and - at this time - there are 6 users, not in this office who have
addresses
at pop.com.
Currently, just to get things going, my plan is to add pop3 accounts in
outlook at each user's pc for their pop.com address. I don't want to
do
it
this way for obvious many reasons.
I'm looking for suggestions.
I probably could take control of the pop.com email and make the outside
users get their pop3 from my exchange server. shouldn't be too much of
a
strain.
Since my experiene with Exchagne server is limited to SBS, I don't know
how
or if I can add a second email domain.

suggestions? Ideas?
