Exchange 2003/Windows 2003 Multiple Domains, 1 Exchange Server

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

First a little background. We have been working with 1 Domain/ 1
Exchange server for years now. Our Exchange Admin Quit on us and
Exchange were given to me rather then hire a new guy. I am the Windows
admin and I just have not had any experience on exchange. My company
has declared that they are taking on the IS functionality of another
company however this company wants to keep the look of being separate.
I have created another tree in the same forest. Original domain
abc.com, new domain xyz.com.

In an attempt to save money we wanted to use the same exchange server.
Which does not seem to be an issue but I can not get the second domain
to create mailboxes.

Things I have done include:
Created a new storage group
Created a new public store
Create Recipient Policies (which when I hit find does locate the users)
Run domain prep on the second domain
Created Recipient update service for the second domain
Created another global address book for the new company

Everything I have read and studied tells me this should be working
fine.

Problem is when I add a user it says the mailbox was created
successfully, however when you bring up properties on the user E-Mail
Addresses never get filled and when I try to access it from outlook it
says it can not locate the user. Almost as if the mailbox is not even
being created.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks

.
