I'm glad it ended up working, and am sorry that I didn't have better advice
to offer.
I think a move to SharePoint for PF content is a wise one. It'll take some
planning, but it's do-able.
Best,
Missy

I want ahead with my second option and export the PF on old server to a
pst
, then broke replication and completed my migration to my new hardware. No
users have complained about any missing items in PF ( i dont think they
will)
I keep the PST and if they complain I imported to the folder in question
and
look for the missing item.
Thanks for your help .. kinda dissappointed I hate work arounds, I read
everything on PFs there was thought I knew them inside out!!
Just looking on Newsgroups so many problems with replication etc , I
hopefully looking to move away from PF to Sharepoint/portal etc in the
future

I don't get it either, Tony! ;)
If there are few enough PFs affected by this, I'd go ahead with the
workaround you suggested. PF replication is a black art at times.

I have tired to force replication more than once, any new items I
create
in
any of the 23 PF which have issues ( all calendars) replcate ok , no
matter
which PF store I create it on it replcates to the other .. but it does
not
replicate older items , I cannot go threw the 2 PF on each store
using
OWA
since some of the 23 PF have 1000 items on each side
So forcing replication does not sync those items which are different
but
any
new ones are ok
what's going on??
Currently I have moved all users to the new server hardware and they
are
all
connecting to the PF store there now.
I am tempted to connect to the PF store on the old server I need to
decomission and export to a PST ( I have admin rights to all PF) ,
remove
the
replica and get on with the decommision.
If in the future any users complain about an item in the 23 PF which
where
different I will import it from the saved PST .. is this OK?
I really want to fix this replication issue I hate work arounds , just
dont
get it !!

Don't run isinteg for this. It's so not worth it.
What happens when you try to force replication?

Where do I start !! I hope you stay with me on this , since I had no
luck
everywhere else.
Like I said I have just over 1200 Public Folders replicated on two
Exchange
Virtual Servers across two different 4 node clusters.
All these show the same items except for 23 folders, I have exported
both
Public Folders stores from within ESM to csv file and compared.
These 23 folders have different items with there counterparts from
anything
to 1 item to 229 items on some sets of folders. Exch1 public folder
store
has
bulk of greater items but since I moved some users to Exch2 and they
access
the Public Folder store on Exch2 is now some items greater in those
23
folders on Exch2 !! ahhhh
I am trying to decommission the old cluster setup
I know replication works since I can create new items on any of the
23
problem folders and they appear on the other replica, I connected
using
OWA
to two different stores to create and I can see this, if I force
replication
or leave it overnight.
All the 23 folders are calendars and like I said I been threw all 23
calendars on both stores and created items and they replicate
The difference in items between the 23 problem folders stays the
same
even
though new items are replicated like I said both ways no mater which
store
you create on.
When I click Exchange System Manager on Exch1 --> First Storage
Group -->
Public Folder Store --> Replication Status
I see the following:
An unexpected, unknown error has occurred. MAPI or an unspecified
service
provider.

My event logs show warninngs and errors in Exch1 and Exch2 for

Isinteg was run only 3 times on Exch1 since I only had a 2 hour
window
for
this , 24 hour mission critical system here in our Datacentre
I did notice this in the log for exch1 for isinteg even after 3 runs
showed

9 warnings I am concered about should I kept running until this
dissappeared???
My event viewer on Exch1 shows alot of
