These are NDR's generated from spoofed e-mail that was sent to their domain.
thier spam filter is rejecting them and sending an NDR to either one of the
following
postmaster@xxxxxxxxxx
Administrator@xxxxxxxxxx
abuse@xxxxxxxxxx
By RFC these have to be allowed however you usually point them to a box we
check once a week or we send them to the e-mail admin and he sets up a rule
to move them to a folder that he checks regularly.

We are running Exchange 2003 and I just started getting SPAM emails from
an
unknown source that spoofs the sender as SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR. There is NO
sender email address listed and when I try to add it to my Junk Email
Sender
list ... I get the Exchange message "The email address for this sender is
internal to your organization and cannot be added to this list"
I am now getting about 20 of these a day and to date I have been very
impressed by Outlook 2003's ability to filter Junk Email. This one is a
problem. It comes in almost always with the subject of "Undeliverable:
Pre -
0pen st-0ck T0 vvatch" and has SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR listed as the sender
and
is sent to my business email address.
Here is the body of the email ....
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
Subject: [SPAM] H0t Penny st-0ck Alert
Sent: 10/3/2006 12:39 PM
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
delledge@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx on 10/3/2006 11:03 AM
The e-mail account does not exist at the organization this
message was sent to. Check the e-mail address, or contact the recipient
directly to find out the correct address.
< spam1.state.ar.us #5.1.1 SMTP; 550 Address
'<delledge@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>' not known here.>
Does anyone know how to deal with this type of email spam? There are no
links or attachments that I have found in them - so they are just very
annoying at this point.
Thanks for the help.
