Help!
I'm in a building with 2 companies. Each has its own AD forest,
domain and exchange server. The receptionist needs to simply view the
calendars for anyone in the building.
Is there a full trust between the domains?
Does she have a mailbox on each server, that has been manually assigned at
least "reviewer" permissions to each mailbox on each server?
If she's signed into Domain1,
she can't directly access the calendars for people in Domain2. How do
I make this work?
OWA?
- InterOrg Utility
This publishes free/busy information only. She needs to see the
calendar, not have to create a meeting request simply to see his
availability.
- Export to web page
There's no automatic process for this.
Sharepoint?
- Send to a public folder
I have public folder replication working but getting a user's calendar
to automatically populate a public calendar doesn't seem possible.
No, not natively, but www.diditbetter.com works.....
How do I do this? There has to be other companies with multiple
forests and exchange that need to share this kind of information.
I've never done this, nor have I ever known anyone to do it, but maybe OWA
is the easiest thing. Wouldn't it be best for all the info for each location
to be visible in one calendar per server anyway? If so, the link above may
be useful to you.
Any advice appreciated, thanks!
