Re: Need Help regarding "send AS"

Okay here it is.

On the security tap in "mailbox store" THe administrator has "Allow" in
all of them, except "Special Permissions". My normal user was not
there-

In Actice Directory on User A, The Administrator is not listed. But the
other user is. The permissions the user have is:
"Send As"

The Way i am trying to make an "send as" is, by displaying the "from"
field i outlook, and type Users A email adress.
But, as you know, it does not work. But i'm getting this error message:
(translated from danish)
"You dont have permission to send this message. Contact the
systesmadministrator to get help
MSEXCH:MSExchangeIS:/DC=local/DC=peersflyttefirma:SERVER

I hope this helps.

You are going to have to provide more details on your permissions then. By
default, Administrators do not have permission to Send As other user OR to
open their mailboxes.

Go to the properties of your Mailbox Store, Security Tab. Please detail
what rights the Administrator has, and if your normal user is also listed on
this tab.

Next...

In Active Directory Users & Computers, go to the properties of the user you
want people to Send As (call it user A). Go to the security tab. Is
Administrator listed in there? If so, what permissions? Is the other user
listed? Which specific permissions?

How are you trying to Send As? Be as detailed as possible. Are you using
Outlook, displaying the From field, and choosing UserA as the From? If it
doesn't work, what error do you receive?

Hey Ben.

Not on the administrator, but it still works with the administrator.
It stil sticks on the normal user yes.

Where the user is located (OU or Users container) is irrelevant.

Is the Send As permission sticking? Meaning, if you go back to the
properties of the account you modified, say, 15 minutes later, is the
Allow
box still checked next to Send As?

You restarted the IS and it still doesnt work?
Are the permissions not sticking becuase the account has the
adminsdholder object tied to it?
