Re: Help!

HI ED

thanks for that

I have run nslookup on the domain name and seems ok
I have compared the results with the domain name that is working and
the are exaclty the same result.
Here is a thing when I orginally registered the web that is not working
as an existing domain name but new web host I may have left of the www.
when entering the domain name does that effect it, because if I run the
nslookup with www. and I get a different result in the cmd line. Also
there seems to be problem with reverse dns could that be a problem?
Although it is working with others on the same web host as you know.

One other thing the mx record on the entry place is just the domain
name without the www. (domain.com) and not mail.domain.com . Is that
OK? I have changed one them that is working to see if effected the
mail delivery.... and it was ok.(not yet on the the the one that is not
working) but when I run cmd line nslookup before I changed I got 'mail
exchanger' mail.domain.com . Could that have some effect. ?

Also the network/web host, I did a check and mentioned some about an
open dns system or server.

The only thing is that the email server that is giving the problem just
happens to one of the biggest banks in the world! hey may have a lot
of security and may not like some messing around their neck of the
woods,,! Have you had anything like this before? Seems pretty wierd.

Appreciate the help,
the only solution right now is that I transfer the domain hosting to
the webhost - if that will fix it?

thanks again
regards

Russell

I have a strange problem, relating to email.

From a particlular large corporate bank,I have had emails sent to me to
and from
with my domain name hosted by a webhost, but when I have tested an
email from another website that is hosted by the same company they
cannot be delivered or recieved - error 451,
THE only difference is that the domain name email that is NOT working
is the only one the was NOT originally registered with the webhosting
company. I have done exhaustive tests to and from and can only assume
that the server at the large bank does not like something about the
domain when it is hosted by one person and the DNS by another,

recap

my domain email and others ARE working with the domain names hosted and
originally registered with the web host.
another domain email NOT working to that particular bank when hosted by
the same webhost but domain name NOT originally registered by that
webhost - but working on other servers perfectly fine.

(I have changed the dns name servers on the registration company in any
case is working with other emails on this other emails etc )

If any one could shed some light that would be fantatic - the web host
is not being very helpful, they say I should speak to the large bank
but I want to know I anyone has this problem before, what the cause
could and could be common and losing emails.

thanks.
