Have you blocked SMTP connections? Check your SMTP virtual server properties
| Access | Connection tab
- is it set to "All except the list below" and has the IP address of the
computer running the Finance package?
- or is it set to "Only the list below" and *does not* have the finance
computer's IP?
- from the Finance computer, can you telnet to smtp port on your Exchange
server?
- Is there a host-based firewall on the Finance computer that prevents
out-bound SMTP?

Hi,
One of our finance packages sends out electronic receipts automatically.
In the setup for this package I have added the Exchange 2003 server's IP
address and the logon information. (I've even used the Administrator
account to see if that would help.) Under "Default SMTP server" on the
Relay tab I have added the IP address of the server running the Finance
package. Each time the package tries to send a message the following
appears in the log.
-----------
Started: 21/09/2006 9:38:09 AM
Abnormal Termination: Error - Socket Error # 10061
Connection refused.
------------
I have even changed the Relay setting to "Allow all except" with a blank
list but the error remains. Could someone suggest where the problem might
lie?
Thanks,
John
