Re: Exporting Exchange Contacts into an Access Database

Yes - I believe it would :-)

RPC/HTTP basically allows you to set up a MAPI connection to Exchange and
encapsulate the RPC packets in an HTTP packet. If RPC/HTTP is deployed,
you'd really want to deploy an SSL certificate to use with it. There are
also quite a few requirements to get it set up, but those are all detailed
in the RPC deployment guides.

If they do not have Outlook installed/configured, then no, their
profile is
not available. OWA provides no way of exporting contacts.

I know that a user can import Outook contacts int an Access database
by
using the import feature in Access. However, I have a question.

Most of our users are real estate agents that work out of the office.
Therefore, they do not connect to our domain. They access their email
using Outlook Web Access.

If they do not connect to the domain and use Outlook Web Access,
would
the import feature work? It is my understanding MS-Access looks for
your Outlook profile in order to allow the import feature. But, if
they
only use OWA, is their profile available?

Thanks for answering this in a prompt manner.
