Hi,

Thank you for posting here!

From your post, my understanding on this issue is: You can not find a
button to reply the post/email in public folder.

In order to get a clear picture on this issue, please let me know, did you
want to reply to sender in public folder via OWA?

Basically in an Exchange environment where there isn't a Front-End server,
if you wanted either to reply privately by e-mail to a post or email in a
public folder or to forward that post or e-mail to another person, you
couldn't do it. The only way to do this is just as in your environment, to
add a Front-End server and ask all users to access Front-End server by OWA;
that way users will see three buttons "Reply", "Reply to all" and "Forward"
in OWA interface during accessing Public Folder. Except this, there isn't
any other method able to do this. Your understanding and cooperation is
appreciated.

For you convenience, you can refer to the following white paper:
"Exchange Server 2003 and Exchange 2000 Server Front-End and Back-End
Topology"

Hope this clarified, if you have any other concerns or need more help,
please feel free to let me know.

Have a nice day!~

Best Regards,

Chace Zhang (MSFT)

| Hello,
|
| I see in online help that a Public Folder user can reply to the sender of
an
| email/post -- as opposed to just 'posting a reply' to the folder. When I
| open the post/email, the menu bar at the top does not have the icon for
| replying to the sender; it has only the icon for posting a reply to the
| folder.
|
| Is this a setting that can be changed?
