Environment: Windows 2003 SP1, Exchange 2003 SP2
Symptoms: All users can "Send As" any and all users
Hopeful Resolution: No user is allowed to "Send As" possibly
"Send on behalf" but not "As"
I have looked at, permissions in all group memberships, individual
permissions, Outlook "Delegate" settings, on mail store; and cannot
see how this behaviour is happening and it needs to be corrected.
Any suggestions for trouble shooting this or tools, fixes patches etc?
Check who had the "Send As" permission on the informaton store. Before
MS06-029(?), the Send As permission was incorrectly inherited through
the Exchange opject permssion inheritence instead of through the user.
Check the build number of store.exe because the "fix" will be
different depending on that build number.
The most usual cause of problems like this is giving the "Everyone" or
"Authenticated User" groups permissions in the wrong places.
