Problem with Exchange

Hi,
I have an estange problem with the Exchange Server of my company. I have
done many tests, but I can't get a solution
The environment is a domain, controlled by several WinNT Servers, i.e,
one PDC and 5 BDC's. A server member, Windows 2000, is the machine that
manages the mail, by means of an Exchange Server 5.5
I have an user that connects to the server from a machine with Windows
XP and Office 2003, using Outlook 2003 to get his mail.
That user (for example, proldan) has been receiving and sending mail in
his mailbox during 10 days, (since he begun to work in the company)
without any problem. He didn't use personal folders; instead, he did all
his work directly in his Mailbox at the server.
Las friday, he called me telling that all messages in his inbox have
been desapeared. We search for it in all folders, but those messages
simply weren't there. The send messages, on the other hand, were where
is supossed to be.
I tried to send him a mail. He received it in his inbox, but in a few
seconds, the message dissapeared in front of our eyes.
I had a look to his inbox rules, but he had not been defined any. I
tried to test his mailbox in another PC, with the same results: all that
he receives in his mailbox, dissapears in a few seconds. I restored a
back up of his messages from tape, but they don't appear too.
Then, I deleted his mailbox from the server, and created it again. The
same results: all that he receives in his mailboxx, dissapear in a few
seconds.
Then I delete it again, and make a new one, calling it pabloroldan this
time. I configure Outlook for this new mailbox, and everithing goes OK.
Thinking that the problem is solved, I change the alias an associated
addresses to this new mailbox, naming proldan again, and from that
moment, the problem reappears.
The thing is that I need that he send and receive mail form/to proldan,
because in this 10 days, he has give his address to many people. But I
don't find the reason because with that mailbox all the messages
dessapears from his inbox.
Can anybody help me?
Thanks
Paco Gaspar
