No SMTP out; trying to debug SMTPSVC.log

Here's where I'm at. SmallBusiness SMTP Connector is configured to
"Forward all mail through this connector" to smtp-auth.no-ip.com.
Authentication is set to "plain text" and offhand appears to work as
the logfile shows below.

What looks strange to me is there appears to be nothing other than
authentication occuring before these transmissions are closed. The
server works great sending e-mail via DNS, but I've got it configured
for our smarthost. What am I missing? Are there any other log fields
worth recording?
