Re: Replicating User signatures for emails

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

So, 3rd party apps can do it, but Microsoft can't? No, I'm not suprised,
just perplexed.

Definitely not in Exchange 2003, and I don't think you can do it with 2007
either. You've got new Transport Rules that you can create in Exchange
2007, but those typically aren't user-specific, and I don't believe that
you can use variables in them (which is what it seems like you would
need).

The problem is largely that Outlook stores it's signature file locally on
whichever computer you are working on. OWA does basically the same thing,
in that it would store the signature in the mailbox, but the signature
would only apply to OWA messages.

Thanks, I'll take a look at these 3rd party alternatives. But the bottom
line is that it's not possible to do it with Exchange 2003, correct? Can
anyone tell me if such a feature is in Exchange 2007? I seemed to recall
that they were going to do it.

When setting up a new user, our company's policy is to create a custom
signature for sending out email that includes the employee's name,
company's name, phone& fax number, etc. Currently, our users can access
email via Outlook at their desktops, Outlook over HTTP on their
laptops, OWA, or logging into our Term Server and accessing Outlook
there. We do not use roaming profiles.

Currently, the employee has to repeat the process of customizing their
signature for each of the above instances, which means doing it 3 or 4
times.

Is there a way of automating this process currently in Exchange 2003?
Or perhaps its in Exchange 0203 and I don't know where it's at. I have
not looked at the Exchange 2007 beta -- is there hope that this is
included in the next verison of Exchange?
