Re: IMF blocks Blackberry Email

I set to Archive and the problem is that there is no archive
folder.....in reading up on the IMF you should be able to go into
exchange system manager and a new Intelligent Message Filtering node is
added under Protocols > SMTP, which I dont have either.....

I can go in and set the IMF through global settings, message
delivery.....

again with Archiving there should be a folder in Program
files\exchsrvr\mailroot\vsi 1\UceArchive

I go to Program files\exchsrvr\ and there is nothing there but some
files......

Its weird though, because it is working, the spam is getting blocked,
its just blocking emails from blackberrys.....(@telus.blackberry.net
and @rogers.blackberry.net)

there has to be a way for the IMF to let any message through using that
email address, but I have yet to figure it out!

Test Blackberries after disabling IMF from the smtp virtul server - does
that work?
Alternatively, set your gateway threshold to Archive instead, and test. Do
you see Blackberry messages ending up in the Archive directory in mailroot?
I haven't seen any BB messages being blocked by IMF yet, not to say that it
isn't possible.

Hey,

We have just upgraded to exchange SP2, and have the IMF filter set at
6, which is working perfectly.....

I have noticed though that anyone here who has a blackberry and tries
to send email, the email gets bounced back, blocked by the IMF filter.

I have talked to Rogers, and Telus, we have users of both carriers, and
neither one of them can/will help, saying that its a IMF problem......

I know it is the IMF that is blocking these emails from the BB's
because it started right when we upgraded, also the delivery bounce
back states the message was refused.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Thanks,

Ryan
