Yep, the Motorola Q phone does not support all of the SP2 features; it only
runs WM 5. I found this out with a customer earlier in the week; I'm
surprised that Motorola shipped the device with an older OS image on it.
We configured our "Q" phones with ActiveSync to sync every 10 minutes. Uses
more battery power, but at least it stays up to date.
When looking at devices, look for devices that support Windows Mobile 5 with
the MSFP additions. That includes the ability to set PIN access,
password/PIN length, and direct push e-mail.

Does anyone know what smart phones will support ALL the features in
exchange
2003 SP2 mobile services? Such as remote wipe of the device, force
password
complexity and so on? We've tried the new Motorola Q and it won't do it.
If I
turn on all the features and leave unchecked "Allow access to devices that
do
not fully support password settings" then the Q ceases to work.
Any ideas what I might be doing wrong or anyone succesfully using a device
that supports the features? We are looking at moving away from
blackberries
and Sr. management doesn't want to use goodlink. Any ideas??
Thanks guys!
Mike
