Re: SSL Certificate Error message

Thanks Ben I will check this out. I do think I have it narrowed down to
having to deal with my SSL certificate. I created a new one (gomydomain.com)
as stated. Now I can go to https://gomydomain.com/exchange with no problems
after I installed the new certicate. Same goes with
https://gomydomain.com/remote.
The new SSL certificate I created is registered to gomydomain.com (regitered
FQDN with my ISP) and the old one is publishing.mydomain.local.
According to this document I can access the Public folfers from my Outlook
2003 client but when I try to use http://NetBIOS/public I get the SSL
certificate error showing that it is trying to use the
publishing.mydomain.local certificate. I need to change this to point to the
new one gomydomain.com.

Yes Ben I did both.

So did you disable the SSL requirement on the ExAdmin vdir? It's
unclear whether your fix was to do that, or to generate a new cert.
Regardless of whether you installed a new cert, you still need to
disable SSL on the ExAdmin vdir if it's enabled.

I should also add that I have no problems accessing the Public Folders
from within my Outlook client. Also I have verified that a new SSL
certificate was issued as I went out to OWA, saw the new certificate and
installed it. Thanks again.

I get this error message and followed the fix according to KB324345. I
am still getting this error message and am wondering if anyone has had
the same issues or can provide some insight as to where or how I
proceed. thanks. I have Exchange 2003 SP2 running on a SBS 2003 SP1
server.

SYMPTOMS
When you use Exchange System Manager to view public folders in
Exchange 2000, you may receive the following error message:
The SSL certificate server name is incorrect.
ID no: c103b404
Exchange System Manager

RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use one of the following methods: . Publish a
new SSL certificate that has the FQDN of the Exchange 2000 server to
the IIS server.
. Remove SSL from the Exadmin virtual root in IIS: 1. Click
Start, point to Programs, click Administrative Tools, and then click
Internet Services Manager.
2. Click your server, and then expand the Web site that
contains the Exadmin virtual root (the default Web site is "Default
Web Site").
3. Right-click Exadmin, and then click Properties.
4. Click the Directory Security tab.
5. Under Secure Communications, click Edit.
6. Click to clear the Require secure channel (SSL) check
box. If Require 128-bit encryption is shaded, click to select Require
secure channel (SSL), click to clear Require 128-bit encryption, and
then click to clear the Require secure channel (SSL) check box again.
7. Click OK two times.
8. Restart Exchange System Manager.
