Cannot find a bounced email in Exchange 2003

I am in the middle of a mystery. We are using Exchange 2003, and we
send out bulk emails to recipients who have agreed to receive our
emails. The problem I am having is that there are 2 emails that come
back as non-existant everytime. I cannot locate these addresses in our
Contacts or Distribution lists. Is there another container that I am
missing that holds email addresses?
My currect theory is that we have an email address in our contact that
is correct, and it is getting forwarded externaly to this non-existant
email box. How does Exchange handle a situation when I send an email
to a mailbox that is then forwarded to a dead mailbox? Does the bounce
back email we receive show the original recipient, or does it display
the forwarded email address that does not exist? I am hoping that my
description of our problem is clear. Please let me know if there is
anything I can clarify.
