Thanks for your help.
We have Exchange 2000 native environment (2 frontend and two backend
servers) and I did run forestprep and domainprep already otherwise you will
get message as"you need to run forestprep and domainprep..when you try to
upgrade. No, I do not have other Exchange 2003 server and this is the first
exchange 2000 frontend server I tried to upgrade. I have to upgrade all
exchange 2000 server first and then introduce the new exchange 20003 servers.
I am totally lost and also I check the schema version's upper range is 6870.

If you do not have others, then Exchange 2003 Forestprep needs to be run.
If you are only a Domain Admin, you do not have rights to update the Schema.
You need to be a member of the Enterprise Admins and Schema Admins groups
(as well as Domain Admins) in order to do that. If your account is not a
member of those groups, then you can log in with an account that is, and
*just* run Forestprep. You can do that using the Deployment Tools (exdeploy
from the CD) or by running setup.exe with the /forestprep switch.

When I tried to upgrade the exch2000 frondend to the exch2003, I got this
