Win2K3 Server Std SP1
Exchange2K3 Server Ent SP2
Updated Exchange server Thurs night. Went on vacation Friday -
Tuesday. Came back today to people telling me they can't send email
through OWA anymore.
I tried with my Domain Admin account. Mail sent fine. I tried with a
non-admin account (regular user account). No dice. Got "Access
Denied" error.
When I login using Integrated Authentication within the network using
http://server, I can
send from both an admin and non-admin account.
When I login using Basic Authentication from within or outside of the
network using
http://mail.server.com, I can send from the admin account
but cannot send from any non-admin account.
Have triple-checked all authentication settings. Nothing changed, it
would appear, post-update.
Whaddayathink? Check the permissions on the mailbox store or
something? The default virtual smtp server? Nothing jumps out at me as
having changed after the updates, but the problem did start *immediately*
after the updates, so methinks the two are related.
TIA. Carrere :)
So you can actually get to the mailboxes, you just cant send as
another user or you cant get to your inbox or what?
The June update for OWA updates store.exe for Exhcange 2003 SP2 and
changes the way send as perms work.
