Are you entering the user name in the form of domain\user?

Yes, once Exchange was installed, I brought each user up and mailbox
enabled them. The users that are trying to connect from home have
broadband internet connections and we are configuring the mail server
address as mail.workdomain.com to get our mail. When you do a
send/receive you are asked for your username and password in a
separate popup window. It is not accepting the username and/or
password there.

Our users cannot access our exchange server from home using their
personal Outlook program. The server will not authenticate them. If I
set up a new user to test this the new user works fine. It only has
trouble authenticating users that were set up in Active Directory
before Exchange was installed. Is there any way to fix this??
