what I found out till Your first mail:
the error 9339 (first in eventlog) occours on exatly the same GAL entry count.
When I delet a mailadress the error moves one user away.
So I think it is a counter or memory problem, but we have only 5000 entries
in our GAL.

Hello Andy
OABInteg test was done without any problem - all seams to be OK !
The User which is written in the eventlog changes sometimes
there is no replication Problem on our domain actually.
Crank up diags in ESM on the OAB and if that reveals nothing I would
call PSS. They have that tool I mentioned.

Hello
we have Exchange 2003 SP2 since several months running without problems, but
now since one week the genaration of the OAB fails.
Eventlog eventID 9339:
Active Directory DC1 returned error 8004010e while generating the offline
address list for '\Global Address List'. The last recipient returned by the
Active Directory was 'Pautasso Franco (xx/yy)'. This offline address list
will not be generated.

we checked all helping information that we can get - nothing
anyone here who knows this problem ?
Take a look at OABInteg and see if that tells you what is wrong:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=907792
Typically this is because there is a server that is referenced that
hasnt replicated correctly to the your domain or is no longer is
service and the OAB barfs on it when it gets to an account that has
that server or admin group etc.. in its exch legacy dn.
If that doesnt work, call PSS. They have a tool that can help you
track down the address its failing on. ( Or look in OUtlook in online
mode at the GAL, Check the account listed after "Pautasso Franco" and
see if that helps.
If the GCs are having replication issues, it should be in the event
logs on those servers.
