Exch2003 SP1.

We have hundreds of photocopy/printers which can send e-mail.

On the printer, I configured SMTP=myExchangeServerIP. It works fine if I
attempt to send an e-mail to my internal domain.

If I attempt to send e-mail to external users (@hotmail.coM), it fails. It
seems I would need to allow relay on Exchange servers.

What would be the best way to handle this ? I have 200+ printers. Printers
are not in a specific subnet. On the Exchange "Relay" tab, I'd need to input
IP address by IP address to allow this to go through.

If you have a clever suggestion on how to handle this, please let me now.

Oh, and that SMTP server would be open to relay.
You would run a risk of a virus on your workstations going mad but
taking proper precautions would mitigate that risk.
