Nothing to abnormal in the event logs. We are positive that no configuration
changes were made to the server. It was in use, but just to access the
e-mail. Same result internal and external. We are using the 2003 enterprise
edition.

I'd start looking at www logs, and see if you can identify what's going on..
Are there any errors in the event logs? Application or System? Are you
positive that nothing else was done? Do you get the same result regardless
of whether you try and access the external name, or internal name? What
version of Exchange?

Sorry, I misread that. No it gives the page not found error when SSL is
disabled.

My point earlier was that if you are "requiring" SSL, then you *cannot*
access OWA via HTTP. Typically, you should see an error stating "SSL
Required".
If you deselect the "require SSL" box, does OWA work without SSL?

The cert looks correct and what is bothering me is that I can't access
OWA
without the SSL.

When you view the certificate in IIS does it look correct? Can you

I removed it and then reinstalled it, but still no luck. I guess i'll
have
to
look for some more options as to why it stopped working.

Removing the certificate from within IIS you be sufficient. Of
course
make
sure you have a copy that you can import back in before you do
this.

Yes we are requiring SSL and everything seems to be installed
correctly.
Is
there a method to uninstall a cert and reinstall or anything like
that?
"Ben Winzenz [Exchange MVP]" wrote:
Well, if you are requiring SSL on the Exchange virtual
directory,
and
there
is a problem with the certificate, then a cert would definitely
cause
that
to happen.
I'd take a look at the server and make sure that the cert was
renewed
properly and is still correctly installed.

Just like the subject says. I was told that my company renewed
their
certificate on our exchange server and now our webmail fails.
We
can
access
it with no problem locally via Outlook, but through the web
client
it
will
not work. Any ideas how a cert would make that happen? Nothing
else
has
changed so we are pretty confident that it's from that. We get
a
page
can
not
be displayed error message now.
