Re: Virus or Spam?

But, I'm getting a lot of these messages. So, wouldn't that make you think
that there is a lot of spam being sent to others with my address forged as
the sender? And if so, wouldn't that make you think that there is something
on my system that is causing all this mail to be sent in the first place?

I have been receiving a lot of email saying it is from "System
Administrator" in Outlook saying stuff like this:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
Subject: rest
Sent: 5/6/2006 8:37 PM
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
cloud@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx on 5/6/2006 8:31 PM
The e-mail system was unable to deliver the message, but did not report a
specific reason. Check the address and try again. If it still fails,
contact your system administrator.

These messages even have the undeliverable mail icon, rather than the
standard envelope icon that normal mail comes with.

My Exchange server (SBS 2003) is behind a firewall and is a dedicated
mail server.

My question is: Are these messages a new form of spam or is this some
email virus? What log can I look at to see if I am, in fact sending
these messages and therefore these are actual messages coming from my
Exchange server to let me know that these meesages were not able to be
delivered?

Thanks.
